Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman Mike Bost (IL-12) released the following statement concerning President Obama carrying out his veto threat of the Keystone XL Pipeline Act:
“After the bipartisan passage of the Keystone XL Pipeline Act in the House and Senate, I am extremely disappointed that President Obama carried out his threat of vetoing a jobs bill that would provide 42,000 Americans with work. This legislation was another step in making America more energy independent, and had the support of more than 60 percent of Americans.”
“While the House and Senate continue to offer solutions that will create jobs, grow the economy, and lower energy costs, the President issues threats. Keystone should be about jobs and domestic energy—not politics and ideology.”
