Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Mike Bost (R-IL) authored a letter to the Department of Defense urging a formal investigation by the DoD Inspector General into the faulty U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ report used to justify moving the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency to North St. Louis.  Bost’s request follows a similar appeal he made earlier this month to the Army Corps’ Inspector General, whose investigation has yet to be completed.

“I have asked NGA for answers regarding the laundry list of errors contained in the Army Corps’ report,” said Bost.  “However, I continue to receive nothing more than superficial assurances that the proper guidelines have been met, particularly regarding security setback standards.  Until I get the specific and transparent answers my constituents deserve, I am going to use every tool at my disposal to the bottom of this misguided decision.  That’s why today I am calling for a Defense Department investigation, in addition to the Army Corps investigation that’s already underway.”
