Also Monday, the House of Representatives passed a bill sponsored by Rep. Mike Bost, R-Murphysboro, that would require the VA to develop plans to hire permanent directors for all the administration’s facilities without one.

“Continual uncertainty at the top of any organization is destructive, and it certainly makes it tougher to fix problems at the VA,” Bost said.
