WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) today issued the following statement after Speaker Paul Ryan announced his intentions to retire at the end of his current term in Congress:

“Speaker Ryan led the People’s House through impactful times, including passage of historic tax reform legislation that will benefit working families for years to come.  As a father and a grandfather, I appreciate his desire to spend more time with his children.  I don’t know what his future holds after this year, but I’m confident he will continue seeking opportunities to serve his country no matter where he lands.”
