WASHINGTON, DC – U.S Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) released the following statement after House Republicans succeeded in forcing a vote on a bipartisan Senate bill to address the humanitarian and national security crisis at the southern border:

“The Senate passed a bipartisan bill to fix our border crisis by an 84-8 vote, but Nancy Pelosi refused to bring it to the House floor for a vote. Maddeningly enough, it was only after a line of 80 House Republicans stepped to the microphone one-by-one to demand a vote that she finally relented. Now, the bill is off to President Trump’s desk for his signature so we can work to end this crisis.”
