WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) today introduced a resolution to recognize the role members of USTRANSCOM and Air Mobility Command from Scott Air Force Base played in evacuating Americans and our allies from Afghanistan.
“Facing insurmountable odds, the men and women of USTRANSCOM and Air Mobility Command moved heaven and earth to rescue Americans and our allies in Afghanistan,” said Bost. “Working nonstop, they evacuated 79,000 people – a difficult task even under the best conditions. They deserve every ounce of recognition they have received, and this resolution will help express our gratitude for their heroic efforts.”
