WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) released the following statement after the Environmental Protection Agency announced its final rule on the definition of “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS):

 

“After two years of the EPA hemming and hawing over this rule, Biden’s bureaucrats did exactly what we expected them to do: cave to the demands of radical Green New Deal environmentalists. This is not about protecting our waters; it’s about exerting federal control over the American people in any way they can. It is insane to think that Biden is returning us to the type of Obama-era overregulation that nearly put our farmers and job creators out of business less than a decade ago.”
