WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) today voted against legislation to override the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization and stop states from limiting abortion services.

“Last month, the Supreme Court restored power to the American people to determine how abortion services are regulated in their state,” said Bost. “This has not stopped Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats from pushing forward with their abortion-on-demand agenda. If these bills became law, states would be powerless to protect the lives of unborn children with developmental disabilities. They would be unable to ensure parents are involved in the decision-making process if their young daughter is pregnant. And they would put the lives of women and minors at risk by eliminating mandatory reporting laws and medical supervision.”
