“It’s a lot bigger than people realize,” U.S. Rep. Mike Bost, R-Murphysboro, said on the heels of a tour of the production facility on Monday morning, where he and others witnessed such marvels as a conveyer belt spitting out 350 cartons of sour cream per minute.

“I didn’t realize that this production level was this big – and right here.”

Bost toured the plant as part of a Southern Illinois "Jobs Tour" while he was back in the district during a congressional recess. Earlier on his break from Capitol Hill, Bost toured the Continental Tire plant and a Walgreens distribution center, both in Mount Vernon, as well as Metro East Industries Inc., in East St. Louis, which offers solutions for railcar and locomotive repair and maintenance issues, according to public schedules his office provided.
