CARBONDALE – U.S. Representative Mike Bost today announced a National Science Foundation (NSF) funding award of $180,000 and a Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) award of $244,850 to SIU Carbondale. The NSF grant will support a project related to quantum computing, while the HHS grant will be used to further research into the development and function of Sertoli cells.

“These grants are important for SIU and the surrounding community,” said Bost. “They provide vitally important investment in research that may prove to further scientific research and prepare young people today for the careers of tomorrow.”
