WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) today announced the winner of the 2021 Congressional Art Competition, “Big Muddy Travels” by Kassidee Gabby of Marion High School. Kassidee’s artwork will hang in the Cannon Tunnel in the U.S. Capitol for the next year.

“Congratulations to Kassidee for winning this year’s competition,” said Bost. “Each of our talented Southern Illinois students submitted their own vision of ‘Waterways of Southern Illinois.’ The Big Muddy River is a quintessential part of Southern Illinois geography – cutting through the heart of the 12th District. I’m excited to showcase a little slice of Southern Illinois in Washington. We commend Kassidee and all of the other students who participated in the competition this year.”
