Washington, D.C.—Today, Rep. Mike Bost (IL-12) announced his office would be distributing a limited number of tickets to residents of the 12th District wanting to see a remote broadcast of Pope Francis’ address to a Joint Session of Congress from the West Front lawn of the U.S. Capitol.  The Pope’s address to Congress is Thursday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. (ET).

“This is an exciting chance for our constituents to travel to the nation’s capital to witness the Pope’s historic address to Congress,” said Rep. Bost.   “This is the first time a sitting Pope has ever addressed a Joint Session of Congress so we’re happy to be able to provide this once-in-a-lifetime experience to as many Southern Illinoisans as possible.”
