WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12), a member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, welcomed more than 50 veterans from Southern Illinois to Washington, DC. The visit was coordinated by Honor Flight of Southern Illinois, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing all veterans who apply a free trip to Washington to visit memorials honoring their service and sacrifice.
“Americans owe a debt of gratitude to our nation’s bravest individuals – those who have served in defense of freedom and liberty,” said Bost. “As a country, we must remember the sacrifices of our veterans who have bravely served our nation. I always look forward to welcoming veterans to Washington as part of the Honor Flight program. It’s an opportunity to say thank you.”
