WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mike Bost today announced a U.S. Department of Health & Human Services grant of $753,737 for Centerstone of Illinois, Inc. in West Frankfort. The grant will support Centerstone’s Early Head Start program, which provides prenatal and child development services to low-income pregnant women and children three years of age and younger in Franklin and Williamson counties.

“As a father and grandfather, I know that the first years of our children’s lives are critical to their development,” said Bost. “This grant allows Centerstone to continue supporting the development of healthy children and families in Franklin and Williamson counties.”

HHS’s Office of Head Start (OHS) provides oversight and administers grant funding to 1,600 public and private nonprofit and for-profit organizations across the United States. Click here for more information about Centerstone’s Early Head Start program.
