Washington, D.C. — Rep. Mike Bost (IL-12) issued the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court voted to halt the enforcement of President Obama’s restrictive energy regulations:
“The President’s climate agenda would kill jobs, increase costs, and decrease the reliability of our energy supply. If the Administration’s rule War on Coal is successful, it will have devastating consequences for families across Southern Illinois – not just for those who work in the industry, but also for low income families who rely upon affordable sources of energy. By halting the President’s executive overreach until the states have had their concerns fully weighed, the Court has helped deliver a big win for hardworking families in the 12th District.”
